A Challenge to help you with your marriage and prayer life in some manner.
Beloved
As women, we can be our own worst critics and enemies. So, today I want to draw your attention to the word "beloved." Although there are two forms of this word used in the Word of God, I am only addressing the instances in which it is used as an adjective.
Beloved=G27-agapetos in Greek=esteemed, dear, favorite, WORTHY OF LOVE (that’s my favorite so I used all caps!)
The first eight times the word “beloved” occurs as G27 in the New Testament of the King James Version, God the Father is speaking of Jesus Christ, His “beloved” Son. That gives this word such a special meaning! Secondly, “beloved” reflects someone who has a covenant with God. (NOTE: a covenant can never be broken! Whoop!) This means, that as a Christian, we are also God’s “beloved!” We are worthy of love because of Christ's finished work on the cross!
In Ephesians 5:1-2, Paul instructs the church of Ephesus to be imitators of God and walk in this love. As children of God, this applies to us as well. So beloved, are you imitating God and walking in love in your home?
Scripture

Meditating on the Word
Think about the Scriptures today. Ask the Lord to help you understand who you are in Him as His beloved so you can build your household on His love. Write this verse on an index card if this will help to remind you or set an alarm on your phone to reflect and pray on these things throughout the day.
Digging Deeper
If you are inclined to dig deeper, here are some application questions based on the Scripture for today.
What does it mean to you to "imitate God" and "walk in love"? (Hint: refer back to Ephesians 4:17-32)
What steps can you take to make sure you are continually renewing your mind and do not grieve the Holy Spirit?
What practical steps can you take to better reflect God's love and forgiveness in your marriage?
Prayer for My Husband Today
(For those whose husbands proclaims Christ)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for blessing me with my husband. Lord today I want to lift my husband up to You. I ask that he knows and feels Your unconditional love and understands just how much he is loved by You God. I pray he uses that love and shines it on others so that others may see Christ in him. Thank You and love You.
In Your name I pray, amen.

Prayer, Option #2
(For those whose husbands are not in Christ)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for blessing me with my husband. Lord today I want to lift my husband up to You. I ask that he knows and Your unconditional love even if he doesn't understand what that is just yet. I pray You use me and help me shines Your love on my husband so that he may see Christ in me. Thank You and love You.
In Your heavenly name I pray, amen.

Challenge
Ask your husband to pray with you today, whether together or separately. I want to encourage you to ask him at some point. It is important that your husband knows you are praying for him. It really helps your husband to see the words that you are praying for him. (Firsthand experience!)
