Tetelestai
It is only fitting that I end this challenge talking about one of the most amazing words that Jesus Christ ever spoke: Tetelestai. In fact, I love that yesterday was resurrection Monday, so it should still be fresh on your mind. I have introduced you to many words over this journey. I think this is the most important one yet.
“It is surely not too much to say, that of all the seven famous sayings of Christ on the cross, none is more remarkable than TETELESTAI.”
JC Ryle
When Christ said "TETELESTAI," He was saying that the sin debt was “PAID IN FULL!" Jesus paid a debt He did not owe for His people who owed a debt that they could never have paid. When Christ was crucified, so were our old natures.
Knowing this, that our old man IS crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For He that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live with Him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God.
Romans 6:6-10
Sister, this is my reminder to you that we call come to the foot of the cross broken. None of us are righteous!! I do not know what is going on in your marriage. Regardless of whether your husband is in Christ, not in Christ, or your marriage is on the rocks, keep in mind you can only control your actions. You are always Christ's delegated ambassador, a city on a hill. We are not called to save our husbands, but we are called to point them to the only One who can.
I pray that after today you can continue to pray for and with your husband. Implement the things from the past thirty days. Continue to be the hands and feet of Christ Jesus in your marriage one day at a time.
Scripture

Meditating on the Word
Think about the Scriptures today. Ask the Lord to help you be His light with Your husband and see him the way God does. Write today's Scriptures on an index card if this will help to remind you or set an alarm on your phone to reflect and pray on these things throughout the day.
Digging Deeper
If you are inclined to dig deeper, here are some application questions based on the Scripture for today.
Jesus uses a metaphor of light to describe the influence of His followers in the world. and emphasizes the need for them to let their 'light' shine before others through to glorify God. What happens when you shine light into darkness?
Think of a time recently in which things led to an argument with your husband. What part of YOUR conversation did not convey the truth and light of Christ?
What steps can you take to improve on pointing your husband to Christ in conflict after today and beyond this challenge?
What steps will you take to keep this habit you have cultivated of praying for or with your husband and self-examination?
Prayer for My Husband Today
(For those whose husbands proclaims Christ)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving me my husband. Thank you for the example of strength You put in my life. Lord, I want to lift my husband up to You today and ask that You guide him and teach him to live and be a Godly example for all of those who cross his path: his wife, children, friends, co-workers, and business prospects. Lord, I pray that when people view my husband they see Your image in him even when I do not. I ask that You give me the eyes to see him as You do Lord so that I may have compassion for him and love him as You do. Help me to continue to remember the things I have prayed about the past month and continually put them into action Father. Thank You and I love You.
In Your heavenly name I pray, amen.

Prayer, Option #2
(For those whose husbands are not in Christ)

Lord, I want to lift my husband up to You today and ask that You guide him and teach him to live and be a Godly example through me. Lord, I ask that You help me be Your light in His life continually. I ask that You give me the eyes to see him as You do Lord so that I may have compassion for him and love him as You do. Help me to continue to remember the things I have prayed about the past month and continually put them into action Father. Thank You and I love You.
In Your heavenly name I pray, amen.

Challenge
Ask your husband to pray with you today, whether together or separately. I want to encourage you to ask him at some point. It is important that your husband knows you are praying for him. It really helps your husband to see the words that you are praying for him. (Firsthand experience!)
