If you have made it this far, congratulations! We are in week 2. This is your friendly reminder that the enemy does NOT like what you are doing. A united husband and wife working for the kingdom of God in any capacity (yes, even to raise children!) is a huge threat.
In case you are new here, below you will find:
Scripture - this is the Scripture assigned for the day

Digging Deeper section with some reflection (optional)
A Prayer for our husbands: one for those whose husbands proclaims Christ and one for those whose husbands do not.
A Challenge to help you with your marriage and prayer life in some manner.
A Praying Husband
As wives, we want our husbands not only to pray for us, but with us. There is this deep longing and desire to have that intimate, spiritual fellowship with our husbands. It is not an easy journey for most to get to the point of this actually happening in a marriage. As a woman, it is very easy to get wrapped up in our emotions. In our quest to gain that intimacy with our husbands, we can definitely get aggravated when he does not meet our expectations in this area. It can end up fostering anger from us towards our husbands. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." This does not yield favorable results.
Anger and resentment towards our husband does not help our case when it comes to this. Who wants to pray with someone who is criticizing, condemning, or disrespecting them? I certainly don't. We shouldn't expect our husbands to either. We can't control his actions, but we can control our own. Take it to God and be patient. We can't see what God is doing in our husband's walk, but we can trust God's plan.
Scripture

Meditating on the Word
Think about the Scriptures today. Ask the Lord to help you identify ways you may be criticizing or condemning your husband when it is happening. Ask God to help you stop when He calls it to your attention. Write these verses on an index card if this will help to remind you or set an alarm on your phone to reflect and pray on these things throughout the day.
Digging Deeper
If you are inclined to dig deeper, here are some application questions based on the Scripture for today.
Proverbs 31:10-31 is a passage regarding the virtuous woman. Virtuous here means one with vigor, strength, worth, substance. Some have proposed this woman is a heroic figure, a type of domestic warrior to her family. (Robert Alter Commentary) Where does your worth come from as a woman of God?
According to verse 28, the children of the virtuous woman rise up and call her blessed and her husband praises her. Why do you think that is? Do your children see you in this manner? Does your husband praise you? Why or why not?
In verses 29-30, we see the woman in this passage has surpassed many other women who have done noble things and fears the Lord. What does fear mean in this context? Why is she to be praised? Does your husband see you as a God-fearing woman that he wants to pray with?

I ask that You help me be like the virtuous woman, a woman her family will give praises to and call blessed. Father, I ask You to help guard us all from spiritual attack and I ask You, Lord, to deliver us all of anything that is not of You. Thank you and I love You.

Challenge
Ask your husband to pray with you today, whether together or separately. I want to encourage you to ask him at some point. It is important that your husband knows you are praying for him. It really helps your husband to see the words that you are praying for him. (Firsthand experience!)
