What is the Gospel?

When God created everything, including man in Genesis, He looked at everything and said, “It is good.” However, sin entered the world when Adam chose to eat of the forbidden fruit in the fall of man in Genesis 3. Because of the fall of humanity, our sin nature now separates everyone from God spiritually. There is one way to get to heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ.

What is the Gospel? Jesus is the Way
What is the Gospel?

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6

Jesus Christ lived a life that we could never live up to. (“He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.” 1 Peter 2:22). This was so that Jesus could be the final sacrifice for sin. Jesus Christ died a tortuous death voluntarily on the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. Because of this, salvation is offered as a free gift (“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23) This is a gift that cannot be received by works but only on faith. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.

How do you obtain salvation?

Acknowledge that you need a savior. So, believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised Him on the third day. Turn to Jesus today so that you can have salvation.

My ultimate goal is to be a follower of Christ, share the gospel, help women study the Bible and steer clear of false teachings. I am so thankful I was made new in HIM.

It is my prayer that you do too if you haven’t already.
