In case you are new here, below you will find:
Scripture - this is the Scripture assigned for the day
Meditating on the Word section
Digging Deeper section with some reflection (optional)
A Prayer for our husbands: one for those whose husbands proclaims Christ and one for those whose husbands do not.
A Challenge to help you with your marriage and prayer life in some manner.
Joy
In Romans 15:13, Paul concludes this section with a promise and blessing for the Jews and Gentiles alike from the God of hope. Got Questions states that "the expression abound in hope refers to an overflowing measure of hope that is far beyond all human capacity to produce or describe. The original Greek verb translated “abound” means “to run over, be wealthy, have more than enough, transcending all boundaries...For the first time in history, people of Jewish and Gentile backgrounds were fellowshipping in their homes and partaking in meals together. If they were to have any hope of loving one another and living in joyful unity, they would need supernatural power supplied by the Holy Spirit to inundate their entire being."
As believers in Christ, we have many challenges, especially in our marriages. Though we are not two nations joining together in our homes, as believers we are still expected to live in harmony and peace with one another. We come up against many difficulties in a marriage. When the trials and tribulations come, who do we have hope in? Do we look to our husbands, ourselves, worldly things? Do we look to the God of hope, who is our only Source that any of these things should come from? As Charles Spurgeon says, “We have all things and abound; not because I have a good store of money in the bank, not because I have skill and wit with which to win my bread, but because the Lord is my shepherd.”
Scripture

Meditating on the Word
Think about the Scriptures today. Ask the Lord to help you experience and be filled with the joy of the Lord. Write this verse on an index card if this will help to remind you or set an alarm on your phone to reflect and pray on these things throughout the day.
Digging Deeper
If you are inclined to dig deeper, here are some application questions based on the Scripture for today.
Have you experienced the joy of the Lord in your life? If not, please take some time to pray about who or what you may be looking to for your joy and peace.
What do you look to your husband for? Do you see him experiencing the joy of the Lord?
What can you do to point your husband to the God of hope in the midst of trials? How about yourself?
Prayer for My Husband Today
(For those whose husbands proclaims Christ)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for blessing me with my husband. Lord today, I want to lift my husband up to You and ask that You flood him with joy and peace. Help him find joy in what he does, who he is around, not forgetting to exude Your joy and peace, Lord. I ask for You to help us find more laughter, joy, and encouragement in our walk with You through all the things that we face in our daily lives. Thank You and I love You.
In Your heavenly name I pray amen.

Prayer Option #2
(For those whose husbands are not in Christ)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for blessing me with my husband. Lord today, I want to lift my husband up to You and ask that You flood him with joy and peace. Help him find joy in what he does, who he is around, Lord. I ask for You to help me find more laughter, joy, and encouragement in my walk with You through all the struggles in my marriage life. I ask to be Your hands and feet so that He may come to know You as I do, Lord. Thank You and I love You.
In Your heavenly name I pray amen.

Challenge
Ask your husband to pray with you today, whether together or separately. I want to encourage you to ask him at some point. It is important that your husband knows you are praying for him. It really helps your husband to see the words that you are praying for him. (Firsthand experience!)
